Story Paragraph

My potato sack story is a little bit more stressing the unknown. The goals and obstacles are somewhat unknown to the sack but are very well knwon to the viewer. So, as far as personality goes, my potato sack would be considered somewhat aloof and oblivious to what is going on around him. The scene opens up with a shot of a pantry door. The door opens and slouched on the floor is a sack of potatoes. The sack begins to wiggle and come alive as if out of a deep sleep. The sack then pokes his head out of the door and scans the kitchen area. At this point the sack is playful and curious, wanting to explore. After checking if the coast is clear, the sack then decides that it is safe enough to take a stroll around the house, but little does he know that an evil potato masher is stalking him. This is where the unknown goal and obstacle come into play. The sack doesn't know he is being stalked. I would say that his goal is to escape being mashed by the masher, his obstacle is his oblivious mind set and also the masher. His resolution will be to figure out a way to fool the masher. So, for the next shot the stalking is just built up with music. The potato sack looks over his shoulder once as if to almost be feeling the presence of the masher, but when he does the masher simply plays dead. The potato sack then turns a corner, the masher thinks he has the sack trapped. However, when the masher jumps around the corner there is no one there. Confused, the masher begins to look around, suddenly the sack drops from the sky onto the masher. The potato sack knew what was going on after all.

It's interesting. I'm concerned about how much of a house you're going to model as well as how long the animation is going to be. It also seems like the part at the beginning where it's coming to life in the kitchen is unnecessary.

Your story is pretty solid. The only thing you may want to think about your environment a little more. Kitchen that has enough corner and stuff to sneak around will take a lot of time to make it look good and still have enough time to animate the sack and masher decently. Though you have a base of a kitchen from your last animation you may be able to utilize. -Erika

Leaving a ladder in the last scene around the corner could explain how the sack got the drop on the poatato masher.
What were you considering for music?
Drama filled music or even the theme from Jaws could be excellent for this type of thing.
The drop scene could also be funny with any cartoon sound effect.

I love the story. Your synopsis does a great job helping me visualize the scene. I think this would be a great cartoon!
